Sleigh Rides Again

We had to work today...it was an easy day as we only had one ride. There was a birthday party at The Lodge so we took them for a quick ride. All seemed to enjoy! Weather was warmer than yesterday. It got to about 23 above so that quite tolerable.

Star still has no bag and she is due Feb 15th. Think she may go later but hope to catch the birth and post the video. Will keep everyone updated.

Full Moon Sleigh Rides

Tonight is a FULL moon or "wolf moon". Don't know why it is called that but I believe there is a reason. While George and I were visiting with some sleigh riders at The Lodge on Lake Clear there were 2 clear howls! I have heard coyotes all my life and these were not yips but definately howls! It was very cool.

It was -11 degrees when we left Lake Clear. Sure am glad the heater finally works!

Our friends, The Mahoney's, came to see us tonight. Always fun to see them and Mikey but she was sleeping tonight. They brought Dylan (my nephew) some John Deere gummies. He is a huge JD fan. Hope to see them again around President's week.

Too late for me to be up...time to hit the sheets!

Wicked Cold Today

Had to put out round bales today and it was soooooo cold! Horses don't seem to mind as much as we do. Put Ty (mammoth donkey) in the barn yesterday and didn't let him out today. Did put his coat back on and plan on leaving him in the barn for the next couple of days.

Closed the chickens in the coop and they can come out when it warms up by Monday. They don't mind but I like to let them out when possible. They lay better and don't eat their own eggs when they spend time outside.

Star (draft mare) is due with foal Feb 15. No bag yet. Will keep all posted.
